| The Beginning of our Fertility Journey Italy 2004 |
We began our journey to parenthood in 2004 on our trip to Italy. Little did we know that this journey would still be going on 6 long years later. At that point in our lives we had been married for 3 years and felt that we were ready to become parents. I was a nanny and the family I was working for at the time had agreed to allow me to bring the baby to work once I had him/her. We had bought a car to accomodate 3 kids so that I could still drive around the twins I watched and the new baby. Everything was ready so WHY didn't it turn out as planned?? We tried for a year and a half with no luck. Then I went to a fertiltiy specialist and got tested. They couldn't find anything wrong. We have tried: Temperature Charting, Ovulation Prediction Electronic Machine, 3 IUIs w/ Clomid, Accupuncture, all the little things out there even planting a green potato under a full moon-Unfortunately this is true LOL. Instead of a baby I ended up overweight, with acne and floaties in my eye. At this time I have given up using medicine. Now I want to try the Natural approach. Working on making myself healthier and hoping in the end I increase my fertility. I know how to take care of myself I just lost my way when I became obsessed with becoming pregnant. I plan to chronicle my journey back to a healthy happy woman on this blog. I am hoping to improve my fertility along the way. Even if I don't become a mother naturally. I want to be a healthy role model whether I adopt or get pregnant. Please feel free to share your experiences along the way.
